WANTED: MAGGIE 4 DEMO

Postby ZCT » Tue Mar 30, 2004 10:02 pm

Hi,

My name is Chris AKA ZCT of The Lower Level. We made a demo for The Lost Boys Maggie 4 called the Under-C preview demo. It featured a demo we wrote. I do not have access to an Atari at the moment and I would really like to see a copy of this demo I wrote many years ago. If anyone could let me have a copy of it I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Wow, that was fast!

I can't believe you remember that source code I wrote over 12 years ago!

Having looked at Maggie, and thanks so much BTW, I think my demo must have been in Maggie 3, because I seem to recall writing the music ripping stuff later on. Do you happen to have Maggie 3?

Thanks again,

Chris

http://alive.atari.org/alive6/shows.html

I just looked at this site and it would seem that September 1990 was about the time of our demo. I wrote it for this show and met up with Anders (An Cool) Nielson and Micheal Shuessler (excuse the spelling Sammy Joe) at the show. So basically whatever issue came right after this show in September 1990.

Thanks again for looking.

Okay I've answered my own question. My demo was on Disk B of Maggie 3. You can download it here. The file name is called LOWER.DAT which if renamed LOWER.PRG can be run directly.

Thanks for the reply, enjoy the demo!

For those that are interested I have been reunited with my demo. It's been 14 years but now (sob  ) we're back together again!

Here it is in a format that Steem will understand. If it looks at all jerky I assure you it didn't on an Atari

Should anyone wish to get in touch my website is PokerXL.com.

Nice to know there are still some people out there who loved the demo days.

All the best,

Chris (ZCT of The Lower Level)
