Great Courts 2 - quick rip

Postby Mug UK » Thu May 20, 2004 4:43 pm

Great Courts 2 - 2 x tunes (SoundFX v1.3 format & MOD conversions)

1) Files were turbo-packed (TPWM header) .. found old Turbo Packer on FTP site. Install DECOMP.PRG, reboot and drag-drop files onto emulated h/drive to unpack. Stage 1 done.

2) Run both files (MUSIC0.DAT & MUSIC1.DAT) through ProWiz (PC version). Finds 2 x SoundFX files and also converts them to .MOD format.

3) I've also included the original MUSIC0 & MUSIC1.DAT in case Grazey (or someone else) wants to make up a Sound FX player ?????

Tried to attach file here, but wouldn't have it. So click on the link below to download.

Tried same routine with Fred and no dice .. still think that's just a series of samples with a loop table at the front (after a quick unpack and look via WinHex)
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
