TT MOD player?

Postby Atari030 » Mon Feb 23, 2015 1:09 pm

G'day, I've been scouring the net trying to find a GEM based MOD player that will run on the TT. I've just tried modplayer1.0 and that dies pretty horribly, runs really well on the MegaSTE though. :D

Are there any MOD players designed to run on the TT?

That appears to be a Falcon MOD player. Thanks anyway.

don't know if it is gem based and you only need a mod player, but yerzmyey use Hextracker on his TT and he said it rule

The problem with HexTracker is - it has no FineTune. So it will not work correctly as a player.

There is an excellent MOD player for STE (DMA), that plays 4, 6 and 8 channels MODs - all in 50-khz quality of sound!

I assume it should work also on TT (will have to check it out one day, btw).

Number by the title means the number of used channels.

Enjoy.

PS: Use "Play" option after loading. The MODs don't start automatically.

PS.2: If the player write "Out of memory" or something similar - just quit the prog and re-load it.
Or, if required - reset the computer and load the player again.

No dice with that one, 2 bombs then nothing when you hit the play button. I tried booting clean off a floppy and still the same. I guess its not TT kosher. I'll give hextracker a burl.

Success, Hextracker appears to play without any issues.

I use Hextracker with my '030 powered, TOS v3.06 equipped STacy and it just plain out rocks
hard.

The people involved with it were nice enough to rewrite code so that it worked on my
machine. Respect! :)

I haven't had enough time this weekend to go through the collection, but it sounds pretty good to my ears so far.

Just a quick revisit, I corrupted my HDD (being silly) so had to set it up again. JAM (CPU) appears to be working a treat. Works great with Magic too. So little time, so much Atari... TT030 sonic joy.
