Just been doing a bit of searching on the web to see if there are any sites about the good old ST days. You can imagine my shock when I found not only lots of information, but also loads of current ST users and emulators!

I imediately downloaded STeem and set about looking for my favourite tracker, Audio Sculpture, by Syncron Assembly. Found it too!

So I hastely made a disk and popped the PRG in an AUTO folder, booted the STeem and was puzzled to see the message "Run AUDIO_C.PRG from an AUTO Folder and make sure......" I know the message, seen it loads of times but not sure why its happening.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would love to get back into making MODs, Never managed to find a tracker for the PC anyway! lol

Hey there.... I put the programm file into the auto folder and it works with steem perfectly... but the sound from Steem is far from perfect.. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO TRACK UNDER EMULATION? ... I just can tell you that it still sucks... sorry Steem Authors :) ...

if you r really looking for pc trackers drop me a line ;)

Yes the STE sound is really bad on that tracker, I'll add it to the list to debug. The YM2149 sound is much closer, just a bit hissier than the real thing. We have quite a few programs that have the same problem, I really have no idea how the ST makes the hiss so quiet, I've tried everything I can think of (that didn't take long :D).

If you need a PC tracker i'd recommend you SkaleTracker, great FastTracker2 clone under Windows (but the old FastTracker2 still works nice as a DOS program under Windows).
