Hmmmmm. That's most interesting.
Seems like it reads files directly from HDD. I played entire 5 minutes song on it. Funny thing that's exactly what I was whining about to ljbk something like 2 days ago.
Although I meant something for ST too, not only for STe. And with a playlist. But still - a good thing.
Yes, playlist would make the program the ace.
I wonder if anybody could make such an addition to the prog.
I dream about something instead of MP3s, for ST(e).

Thx for the 'heads up'.

That should handle those Pacmania arcade board music rips I did the other day :)
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Well I guess the best way is to ask!

If only it could accept a txt file play list through TTP?

Other possibility is 'CD Player' util by A Clauss

iirc it has the ability to lift / sample from CD's already, and has a potential database/playlist interface

I do wonder if there is a random tool that achieves this already .. at least on the Falcon

The other possible tool I can think of is GEM play by Yes Crew which may be able to do it with tinkering..

http://yescrew.atari.org/eng/index_e.htm
http://creamhq.de/

I am sure one of these has a play list function

http://sndh.atari.org/players.php

although not straight sample players the addition of such a feature would be minimal I guess if MOD playing is already present...

Hm, that's not exactly what I meant.
Not the playlist itself is important, but playing samples (big one - from HDD) + playlist is the key-matter, heh.
To use such a prog as an equivalent of MP3 player on STe, simply. And the NED-Player is very good as its quality of sound - even 8bit - is _strong_. (I made some tests http://yerzmyey.i-demo.pl/NED_Player_WA ... TE_HDD.zip ).
That's why I was wondering about playlists. ;)

Well, I asked the question via his e'mail address from this site: http://www.volny.cz/sumbera/
Nothing so far.

________________EDIT_______________________
Finally I also asked on flickr but his lately activity comes from Feb.2012 - later nothing. Seems like then his son was born or something like that and since that time his Internet activity disappeared.

The original link for NED Player v3.3 is no more so have managed to download the following from web.archive.org (not all their links work).

Attached is :

n_pf_33.lzh - Falcon only version of Ned Player v3.3
n_play33.lzh - Normal Ned Player v3.3 (non falcon)
website.txt - some info I could grab plus register key.

If anyone knows of a better place for the above please reply current URL below.
