POV .mod compilation disks (a request for number 7)

Postby guythp » Tue Feb 07, 2017 10:38 pm

Hello all,

POV, aside from their demo compilations, released several .mod disks (or at least, they made a .mod player and 'the demo club' cobbled together a load of mod disks) and I'm after one of them.

It's mod disk #7; it featured a tune I loved (possibly two, I'm a bit hazy on the specifics) called 'KINGTUT'. I don't know where it was from but all I recall from the text within the mod tune (usually containing the instrument names but was very quickly used for messages and greets) it simply said "DO NOT SHARE".

However if anyone has any other POV mod compliations they've uploaded or links to them (I've had a good* search, but to no avail) I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,

Guy

That's the one! Thanks Lotek! Seeing that screenshot takes me back - I used to ignore the mod player as it the mods were quiet and when you went back to the tune selection menu a particularly bleepy mad Max tune would blare out.

Thanks again, I'll download that once I get back home from a small holiday with the family... I'll see if what other delights is there (I noticed 'ronken' was listed, which is the tune tcb used in their 'grodan and kvack kvack demo). :)

*edit* Yes! They have the vision house music tunes too! Thank you again, I owe you :D

Thanks again - Looks like I got the wrong disk numbers (I was after 3 & 4, but I grabbed the lot as I bought around a third of them from the demo club back in the day (23 Alma Place, Spilsby, Lincs - IIRC... I think I need to get out more :? ).

Anyway, I'm using Hatari (Linux) and have found that my planned method of transfer (to save the .mod files to the hard disk (a folder within the ST emulator directory)) doesn't appear as straight forward as it would have been using STEem in windows.

How would I transfer the files to my PC from the MSA image? I have had a quick search but the closest thing I can find is a win95 program.

... Actually, may I could do it using STEem via WINE?

Anyway, I know I've said thanks several times Lotek, but I'm really grateful for your help. :D
