Am I hearing a YM sample in this reggae track ?

Postby marcello » Wed Nov 19, 2014 6:15 pm

I heard yesterday the Track soundboy killa from the South African band Rudimentals, and I was wondering .. Isn't the typical grain of my Atari ST that I hear in the intro of this song ?

Slightly out of topic, if you're in chiptune based reggae/ ragga I warmly advise you the Dirty Money track from Soom T (C64 based music I guess)
STMint, try Unix on your 68000 Atari http://subsole.org/st_mint

Late answer, but it can be any kind of chip-synthesis, most probably from a chip-sounding VST instrument module.

Dubmood made a lot of ragga tracks on ST.
