That's great work ! Do you know if based on these pictures of the die some people are working to reverse engineer the inner work of the chip ? (for example, what happens to a wave form when you change its period ? Is the waveform changed immediately or on the next start of the waveform ? What are the internal counters used by the chip to handle the waves, and so on ?)

This could be interesting for emulation accuracy ; even if today's emulation of YM2149 is already quite good, it's always nice to do it the exact same way as the original chip.
