Barbarian (palace) how do i start a game?!?!

seriously,

possibly the most stupid question ever, but hey...

it loads fine, and the F keys seem to toggle the Demonstration mode, Space & Return bring it out of Demo mode, but I can't seem to start a game.

help!

Not sure about that particular game but usually the fire button on the joystick starts shoot-em-up games in general. If you're using an emulator to play, look at your configuration for the joystick or perhaps try the right mouse button.

thats the weird thing.

i've checked the joystick setup (ctrl is fire), I've also tried space/return/lmb/rmb

am I going insane?

That is kinda strange.

I did a search and found the games docs on the Lemon Amiga site. I would give you a direct url to it but they don't allow direct linking.

In the quick search at the top enter barbarian
click on docs under the game when it comes up.

If I were you I'd map and different key to the fire button temporarily and see if it works that way.

I can confirm it's the joystick fire button you have to press to start a game. Right mouse button should also work...

Are you using Steem to play the game?

I could have sworn you could press the function keys to start the game in either 1 player, 2 player of practice modes.

You're right unseen! :-)

Fire button seems to work only for the US version of this game (Death Sword), which is what I had checked. Odd!

hey guys, thanks for the replies.

i think i'm gonna re-acquire the rom cos there's something not right here. not only can I not start a game on my Pc (via Steem), but I can't start a game on my CaSTaway PSP Emu...
