PC Keyboard/Mouse adapter for TT?

Postby Dark Willow » Tue Nov 23, 2004 12:21 pm

Does anyone know if there are any keyboard and mouse apaters for the TT available? Ideally one that allows you to use modern PS2 types.

I think you are looking for the Eiffel project. I have no URL at hand but try googling for "atari eiffel".
It allows you to connect PS/2 keyboards and mice to the later Atari machines.

Did they make a special version of the Eiffel for the TT? The TT has a different keyoard interface to the ST and Falcon due to it's design, ias it has an external keyboard, but only takes one of it's own type that connects through US telephone system style connector onto the system box rather than standard DIN or PS2. The mouse plugs in turn into the keyboard itself through a normal Atari style mouse port.

Actually, all atari (mega)ST(E)/TT/F030 use the very same keyboard, albeit in different styles.

A TT keyboard can be used with any other machine, and vice versa.

Don't let the fact that it is external fool you.

It all comes down to connecting the wires correctly.

So Eifel works fine with TT aswell.
