Just wondering if anyone has bought an Eiffel adapter off Satantronic? (allows PC mice and keyboards to plug into your Atari)

No but I was thinking of getting one myself. I have modded my Falcon into a kind of TT like desktop case and the separate PS2 mouse and keyboard woud be ideal.

I've had mine for a while, one of their type 4 ones (PS2 and orginal atari ports with backplate for fitting in a tower). Works a dream:)

tried out the eiffel yesterday.. just some questions..

1) is it suppose to have a led lighted up when connected to the motherboard?
2) are you required to connect a keyboard to the eiffel in order to be able to do anything with it at all? i had no keyboard around..

hope some of you can answer this..

There are two leds - one for kbd and one for mouse. These light up on activity rather than on connection so answer to Q1 is No.
Don't know about Q2.

Cheers

It depends on the model you have about LED's, on some varients it is when it has power, on others only when devices are connected to it.

As for the keyboard, well personally I can't think much you would do with it except connect a keyboard and mouse? *g*
