Hard drives? IDE......

Postby rat tisa » Wed Oct 13, 2004 9:23 pm

let me get this right,

If i have an IDE controller in my STe (if they are available) would I be able to install a hard drive that is seen as the norm?

I see PC World sell 50 quid HDD's and the specs say they are EIDE, would this run on an IDE controller?

I don't know much about HDD's at all. HELP!!!

Forgot the larger ones .. stick with the 2-4quid specials from the computer fairs :)

4 Gig will be more than enough to store a massive bucket of ST programs etc.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
