Well, on the left side of the computer... do you have 2 extra joystickports? (15 pole, look like inverted VGA contacts) And stereo outputs on the back? If so, it's an STE.

If not it is ST.

In my opinion, the STe is the better of the machines. Better graphics and sound and much better gaming... compatibility has never been a problem for me... or at least RARELY been a problem... =)

The STE is better imho.

Easier to upgrade, and got some extras.

Compatibility is not a huge issue. Since most games worth the diskspace that got problems with STE, can be run anyway with the help of some software and/or has been hacked to run on STE anyway.

Why doesn't it help? People have discussed the current going prices of STFM and STE Atari's.

A 1040STE is more desired than a 520STE
A mono monitor doesn't add much to the value
A mouse is an essential item, but doesn't add much to the worth
A psu? It should be built into the STE, so why have you got another one? Or do you mean a power lead?

Total i've seen setups like yours go for on Ebay is around £25 max.
