Atari 400 RF Video really bad

Postby tjlazer » Sat Jul 17, 2004 4:08 am

I got this nice Atari 400 from the Thrift Store for .99 cents. Didn't know if it worked but for $1 who cares. I plugged it into my TV with a old TV Switchbox and it seems to work. BUT the video is really really bad. Snowy and crappy. I tried to hook up a 800 I had and the same thing. Also tried a 130XE and same. How can I get better video from the RF? (I also tried another TV, same problem)

Got a RCA to Coax adaptor and plugged it into the TV directly, from another user on another Atari forum!, and that did the trick! I am getting great video out now! Nice find....
