Atari Falcon Switchable DSP Clock.

Postby willy » Fri Feb 08, 2019 9:38 pm

Waiting for the new batch of CT60e to be manufactured, i developed this small device. Many musicians was complaining about crossdeveloping music for Falcon. Hope you'll like It.

Atari Falcon Switchable DSP Clock.

There are 3 positions: 44,1/std/48 (respectively 44.1KHz, Standard Falcon (off, internal clock), 48KHz)
The switch is located at the back, and is somehow secured against accidental switching.

Switching is fulle electronic, mechanic switch is used only to control the electronic. It's safe to switch when the Falcon is ON. In worst case if switching when DSP is running you will get a DSP timeout error or something like that (tested on FalcAmp).

There is only one prototype right now, and it will be send for some extensive test, but from the other side it's ready for production.

I'm not sure if there is need for that kind of hardware, so please let me know, and I will manufacture a bigger batch of those. Price will be about 25€ + shipping.
In case of production, it will be available on our webshop: https://www.retro-cloud.eu/

I have also an idea to rise the price about 1-2€ to cover expenses for free copies for party organisers. If You agree, please let me know. If you are a party organiser, please chose relevant option in the pool.

Best Regards
Willy.

There is no easy answer for that question.

Generally it is multi vendor webshop. Anyone can sell on It.

Trying to answer your Question:

Physically, the server is located in Germany.
My location is Denmark.
Webshop is registered in Poland.

My items in future probably will be shipped from Poland, to optimise shipping costs.

Hope this fulfill your curiosity.

Good news.

@Kroll recently tested the clock module.
Everything works perfectly.

Testing was done with following software:
Cubase Audio,
Zero-X,
ANIplayer,
CD Writer,
Studio SON,
Audio Tracker,
... etc...

Some of those software support better or worse the external clock, but all works with external clock.

And the ultimate test. @Kroll mastered an CD audio on Falcon, and wrote it onto CD. Works well.

Thanks for testing Kroll.
