Help me identify this MegaBus card

Postby tordj » Tue Sep 04, 2018 8:07 pm

Hi,

I just bought a Mega ST 4 on ebay and when I received it I noticed it had the following card in the MegaBus. Can anybody help me identify what it is? I have looked around, comparing pictures on the internet without any success. It has one connector soldered to one of the legs of the CPU, and the white 5 pin connector in the picture is the only connector except for the MegaBus. The backside of the card is basically blank (no chips or printed text, just some soldering).

It's a Sack PC Speed. A x86 CPU to allow you to run MS-DOS and DOS software on your MegaST.

With 4 MB RAM it should be sufficient to run Windows 3.0 in Real Mode. It won’t be fast, of course … the used NEC V30 is a slightly improved 8086, about 10-20% faster than the original.
