Phillips CM8533 LOPT replacement question

Postby Chandler » Wed Jul 04, 2018 7:58 am

I'm replacing a LOPT on an older Phillips CM 8533 from about 1985

I have the NEW LOPT ( HR 6489 ) which fits in place nicely

My question is the old LOPT has 2 screws at the base which screws to the main PCB on the inside with solder pads

The new LOPT doesn't have these

Is this a problem? only because the solder pads where the old screws fixed too seem to go somewhere on the PCB

There is a guy called Roy Bates over at Amibay.com who is "the man" when it comes to CM8533 monitor repair.
