Getting MSTE's bits out, perspex case?

Postby rthorntn » Fri Jun 29, 2018 11:40 pm

Hi,

What super helpful forum members we have here, thanks for everything!

I'm thinking about cutting a perspex case for my MSTE (with my CNC), basically one piece for the bottom of the PCB and another for the top, a sandwich, might cut sides as well?

Has anyone ever done anything like that, any pitfalls, all advice welcome?

Are there any mechanical drawings out there for the PCB?

Could I remove the metal (VME cover, rear port shield...), any potential grounding issues?

I might want to make the PSU external.

Can I disconnect the floppy drive (or make it external?) now that I'm booting from SCSI2SD?

Thanks

Richard

Hey man I'm in Australia as well, if you make this I'd love to buy one from you for my TT since they have the same case. Hopefully some knowledgeable people can help you with your questions.
