Case for Nova Graphics card

Postby jamesfmackenzie » Fri Jun 01, 2018 12:08 am

I’m using Frank’s Mega ST ISA graphics card adapter + a compatible ET4000AX graphics card on my Mega ST

Currently I have the case open, but I’d like to close the case and make things a little neater.

Can anyone recommend:

1. Where I could source round ribbon cable that will fit through the hole in the back of my Mega ST and allow me to close the case

2. A plastic enclosure for the ET4000 ISA card. Currently it sitting on top of some newspaper!

Please let me know if you’d like some photos to get a better idea of my setup

Kind regards,

James

Not exactly what you're asking for, but if you replace the PSU with a PicoPSU you can install the graphics card internally. As a bonus you'll get more stable voltages and no more voltage drop when accessing the floppy drive.

Picture ... !?!

I use something like that ...Image

Maybe you can make the two ribbon cable longer, you have to test it.

Thanks Frank! With the standard ribbon cables I can’t bend them both to fit through the hole in the back of the Mega ST case, so looking for other options - and round ribbon cables look like a good solution

Is there anything non-standard about the ribbon cables, or will any work?

I use a box of those times (90´s), practically equal to that of white. They are voluminous.
