SF314 repair

Postby thid » Tue Mar 27, 2018 4:42 pm

Hi

I'm trying to repair my SF314 drive, and the card has a component between 5V and a coil, and 12V and a coil.

The components is broken, and looks like a fat little resistor without any stripes, it is green-blue solid color and has some text on it. T
he text on the components are:

CGW 104 Z5J 751

Anybody knows what this is? Trying to find replacements. Is it a diode? A resistor or some kind of cap?.

Let me guess: it is designated "C?" on the PCB? Like so: http://bilgisayarlarim.com/Atari/SF314/03.jpg?

Anyway, the 104 gives it away: it is a capacitor, 104 means 100 nF. CGW would be the manufacturer, "Corning Glass Works"; but any 100 nF ceramic capacitor will do.

Floppy should work without these.
