I use NVDI 5 and the VMG from the Mega4000 Package. First you must measure the Pixel Clock frequencies und click on save. Then build the resolutions and save that as nvdivag.inf in the auto folder.

800x608.jpg

Some ET4000 cards needs -12V. A -12V line is on the Atari Mega ST Mainboard, see the circuit diagram and the pinout from the ISA Slot. May be you need a DC/DC Converter for the -12V Line, some cards need 15mA ...

My cards needs -12V ...

A bit slow, but is it ok ...

NVDI 5 is to big and slow, I think. I will test version 4 and 2.5 from the ET4000 package. I'd like to have a version 3. If the version somebody had this just tell me ...

NVDI 5 is not slower than 2.5 or 4, only a bit bigger. I'm afraid that the ET4000 isn't very fast, I had one in my TT and it was slower than the shifter simply because there was much more data for the CPU to shift around. You'll notice this even more with a 68000.

When the power supply is narrower there is no need for cut the board ...

Some ST and also Mega ST Power Supply are smaller.

On the picture there are a difference between 10mm ...

Or you have to use a pico psu. On ebay germany a 90W model for 19,- Euro -> ebay 291610010385

no !

I have one Adapter left. The Adapter is complete fully assembled an tested without a ET4000 Graphiccard. Note that you must have the right type ET4000 card, not all cards works with the Adapter.

PM me for a Price and Shipping ...

mega4000_3_klein.jpg

The PCB is cut and fits perfectly in the Mega ST with the PowerSupply.

Interested!
I'll look at a graphic card at home later, and I'll send you a PM.

But before, I've got some info here...

VGA ISA Tseng ET 4000 AX 1 MB 16-bit

Tell me if you have enough info with that.

Thanks.

Idek Tramielski provide the Mega4000 Graphiccard ET4000 Driver for the Mega4000 ET4000 Adapter.

-> http://silicon-heaven.org/atari/nova/MEGA4000/

The T0 Version is for 8-bit /256 Colour Cards and the T8 Version is for Hi-Color Cards.
When you have a card that doesn´t work ask Idek.

Cards that will not work are cards with a control PAL/GAL and cards with a GEN/SYN DAC.

There are also Drivers for the STGA ET4000 Adapter from Till Harbaum, ask Idek ...
