UltraSatan or SatanDisk

Postby AnakiMana » Wed Mar 20, 2013 7:43 am

I was wondering who/where I could order an UltraSatan or SatanDisk from? Is anyone here able to make one?

I read some older posts regarding someone who goes by the name Zaxon, but the thread filled me with doubt due to bad communication and long delays.

I'm in Washington state, USA, by the way.

Thanks!

Lotharek is very reliable and good at communication. Never heard a word against him.

+1 for Lotharek, really nice and dependable guy. If he says he can deliver, he will. He is also willing to give you support for your purchases.

Don't consider the SatanDisk if you don't have it already, it is pretty slow and not hotpluggable. The UltraSatan is said to be pretty fast, it has 2 hotpluggable slots for SD Cards and is supported by more harddisk driver packages.

+1 for Lotharek as well.

Kept me informed of the progress of my order via his website.
Unlike some others hardware makers with no responses even when mud is sling to them.

No I have not.
But my old ASCI-SCSI card has 2 DB ports on it, one is for ASCI in and the other is ACSI out.
This is so you can daisy chain more devices.
May be it is the same.

BTW,it's the HxC floppy emulator that I got from Lotharek.

Did the sticker come with it?

Also, what are the three buttons above your Atari badge?

Sexy? Oh dear...

If you want one, order from Lotharek's site http://www.lotharek.pl. He is a great bloke and his UltraSatan implementation is top quality. You want the cased version, plus a connector cable (DB19-ACSI). You might think it is a little bit expensive but trust me, it s worth it. The quality of construction is amazing considering it is a low volume production.

By the way... I'm just a fan. I have no affiliation with Lotharek, other than assisting with communication with our great Atari community.

Cheers

I expect so, Dal.

But.. This is Lotharek's ST we're talking about. Who knows what lovely bit of hardware he has up his sleeve?

Two questions about Lotharek UltraSatan (i got mine some weeks ago, it works like a charm):

- is it possible to upgrade it with latest firmware 1.13?

- is it possible to use microSD + adaptater instead of a current SD?

I've been away from this forum for awhile, and this is exciting news to me (that Lotharek is making the UltraSatan). I have one of his HxC units, and I can't say enough good things about it. He definitely does top-notch work! :D

Yes, the firmware can be updated. See this: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=24992

I don't know from experience yet, but consdering the fact that microSD has to conform to the standards that match SD, technically there shouldn't be a problem using either one.

Re: UltraSatan or SatanDisk OR GigaFile?

Also have a look at this one: http://shop.inventronik.de/store . The GigaFile maybe the most expensive piece out of that trio,
but it is also the fastest. And you can have it in a nice case :) I got one of those and it is really a cool device.
(I should get money for advertising  )

It's both an ACSI & SCSI device together, so you can use it on all your Atari computers unlike the USD.
