I was just wondering if anyone had yet created a single web-page with all these manuals?

I've got original manuals for the Atari XC12 (tape deck) and Neochrome. Nothing really useful in them, but wonder if they might be of historic interest if someone doesn't already have scanned copies? Didn't see them on the documentation archive.

Anyone know if the Magic v5 or v6 English manuals are scanned? I was asking about it in another thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=11989 :? but this thread is probably better for the subject matter.

Here is a List of items, from my collection, that I do not see the manuals at AtariMainia. Some also do not have box scans, nor disk dumps, cross-reference links, and/or missing data fields in main description area.
Most manuals are in small loose lief binders.
I do not have access to a document feeding scanner, but I would like to put these out to AtariMainia for everyone to have.
Anyone in USA with time and good equipment willing to help?

I would love to place these manuals on my Retro Game and Computer Site if you are interested. I have every computer, console and even a section for add ons. This way more people will have access to them. Just need to be careful about copyright.

Stratagem wrote:Hi there,

i'm working currently on my "Manuals Project", which means all relevant Atari-Manuals (Computers, devices, etc.) will be scanned, converted to PDF and will be accessable for everyone using a special website for this. I have some manuals in my collection, but most of them are in german, some are in english too. Any language is welcome! If you wanna support me with this project, let me know which manuals you're own and which language the manual(s) have. If you have one or more manuals which i'm missing on my list, you should borrow my these for about 2 weeks, i'll send them back to you as soon as i scanned your manual(s).

Thanks for your help,

I have about 650 MB scanned circuit diagrams, service manuals, service instructions, etc. (some documents are not english but dutch or german, source is ATARI Germany and Netherlands, collected by M.R.) and would like to upload them to the Atari Dokumentation Project. I already tryed to contact the mailadress, but got never a reply.

The files contains under others rare documents like SLM-804 laser printer service manual and circuit diagrams of the different switching power supply of 1040ST(E), Mega-ST(E), TT and so on.

An FTP upload adress would be nice and it must be made sure that they are published on the ADP. Please contact me for assistance.

I'm not sure what ADP is. Are you meaning this site? http://dev-docs.atariforge.org/
If so ADA would be a better acronym for Atari Document Archive.

I cannot grant ftp access, its hosted and I can't give out the one and only password I have.

Yes, ADA is it. (I thought it is a project, but yes, archive machtes better.)

We can try to upload it to your computer at home, using noip.com, portforwarding to to filezilla ftp server on your computer. Then you can upload the files. Or is it possible to get support by atariforge?

https://www.dropbox.com/ is free and I used it many times before to move files. It does not require me to reconfigure the home router firewall and mess with noip and port forwarding. I have about 4gb free at my dropbox, so plenty of space.

Judging by the photo, I suspect quite a lot of duplicate files would be in transit unless you are planning to filter out the duplicates already on my site?

Ok, you can remove the share. It finally stopped downloading. I have made a backup by copying them out of the dropbox folder. It appears he scanned an Atari devkit, so there is quite a lot of duplication. This will take me a while to sort out and compare. Don't expect them to appear right away at my dev-docs site as it uses an index file for better keyword searches. It will take me a while to get all the non-duplicates online.

Also I don't want to host stuff like Cab, Calamus, and game manuals. My primary focus has always been hardware and coding related material. Your one stop shop for Atari project building. :D If there are other sites hosting these other Atari documents I'll gladly link to them from my site.

So I hope you got everything interesting. I have now deleted the share. Is there a ressource which collects and publishes hardware drivers, I mean not only those from Atari, but also for addon hardware like CPU acceleration, graphics cards, network cards, scanners and so on...? I also collected a lot here...

Oh I have all sorts of drivers at my site as well, since you often need them for the hardware. :)
It is a lot of work to compare them to what I already have there. If you wish me to host your driver collection I would ask that you create an ISO disk image and arrange them in some orderly fashion. Then I can just host a copy of the ISO image as is.
