Here's another quick one .. Frontier Forget Me Clock II.

This was a quick 'wash' and re-size by 50% but it saves almost 8MB on the final filesize :)

I'll take a look as the version of Adobe I use in work has got German dictionaries built in - so long as the scan is good quality that is :)

An other one for those of you who can read German:

I think scan quality is excellent. I hope we can do an OCR-ed version from this.

Going to try and get all these down via my laptop as my main PC just refuses to sign into my premium DepositFiles account and show me the graphics etc. All I get is some text-only version of the site and none of the links above work. Something's up ...

On another manual-related activity. I finally finished 'washing' and fixing my original Audio Sculpture manual scan. It's ended up a lot bigger in filesize but the quality is a lot better and more readable. Just a pity that Adobe won't OCR it due to the abundant number of graphics on each page that it'll fall over on. Once I find a solution to this, I'll upload it as it should be a lot smaller once it's OCRd.

OK, this is plain daft. I'm even having problems connecting to any of the above DepositFiles links on my laptop which hasn't been near DepositFiles in months. Just get the continual "hang on, we're busy getting the data for the website" stuff ... anyone know if DepositFiles is having problems in the UK?

I managed to get the files eventually by using a freeware downloader (Java powered). Still can't sign into DepositFiles website though for some reason.

Noticed a few of the Profibuch pages were in need of straightening and some had the odd grey bits on their pages so they'll get washed. As soon as I'm back from visiting the folks, I'll run some of them through Adobe & Abbyy Fine Reader so see which one is best for OCRing these manuals in German and Dutch.

I think you can clearly see Profibuch 2 was printed on the best paper quality and the dutch Profiboek the worst quality with lots of lettering shining through the pages. I am very curious on how the OCR will work out.

Where the previous or following page is shining through, I'll need to 'wash' each and every page in Paint.NET but at least the OCR package can't then get confused.

Sounds like as much work as scanning the books was. Or can you use a script?

I've asked on the Paint.NET forum but it's a near impossible task unless the bits coming through from the other page are always in the same place.

And here's the redone Xboot manual with the pages 'washed' also.

Quartet is a nightmare - it'd be easier to rescan the pages as there's so many words missing that are near the centre of the pages.

I tried to get those files today, but the website returned: Such file does not exist or it has been removed for infringement of copyrights.

Any chance somebody can send it to me? I would like to share it on my FTP server for public use.

Me too  Half of the time I can't download and the other half is bloody slow.

Anyway, I take this opportunity to say that if anybody needs/wants to share anything related with Atari, just drop me a PM and I'll be more than happy to put it on my FTP server for common use.

- Junior Prommer
- H&N HBS640
- H&N HBS240
- Volksfarben 4000
- Imagine 256

All user manuals in German. In december I will dig through my cellar and I know that I have a couple more (even Medusa T40).
