Manuals Project !!

Postby Stratagem » Tue Mar 02, 2004 11:58 am

Hi there,

i'm working currently on my "Manuals Project", which means all relevant Atari-Manuals (Computers, devices, etc.) will be scanned, converted to PDF and will be accessable for everyone using a special website for this. I have some manuals in my collection, but most of them are in german, some are in english too. Any language is welcome! If you wanna support me with this project, let me know which manuals you're own and which language the manual(s) have. If you have one or more manuals which i'm missing on my list, you should borrow my these for about 2 weeks, i'll send them back to you as soon as i scanned your manual(s).

Thanks for your help,

Stratagem

Really nice idea! :)

I got some manuals lying around, I can go through them and tell you what I have.

Perhaps you have a list of what you already have?

I'm looking for any language. Doesn't matter which one - english is a good thing for everyone - but i'm also intrested in local versions (french, german, etc.). Most of the manuals i own are in german, some are in english - so i still need a bit support for this.

After this thing is finished, i'm thinking about doing the same for the Jaguar system, but first i wanna finish this one :-)

- Manual 520STF, french
- Manual 1040STE, french

Hey, when, a while back, I said something of the sort nobody was moved... *sigh*. Anyhow, this is a great move, and if it gets off the ground it'd be really great!

I'd also be willing to help with any aspect involved, from web space to web design (a tad crappy, but what the heck), to OCRing, to....

What a great idea! I could really use a manual for the TT030 I bought this Autumn (in english). Must see if I can dig out the Falcon manual (English).

Currently i'm just looking for Atari related manuals, like hardware, addons and software which originally came from atari itself...

Rainbow Tos addendum

Postby Nutking » Wed Mar 17, 2004 9:46 am

Hi Strat,

In addition I have a blue "RainbowTos" addendum that appearantly came with the 1040 STe. It is some sort of blue chart. It talks about the extra colours and the keyboard reset option. In Holland Atari didn't update the manual for the STe's, but stuck this chart along. I have a scanner. What byte size should a page have? The chart in total would be about 3 times A4 .

sincerely, de Nutking

Well - a 150dpi scan would be very nice!

Thanks mate,

ST Applications magazines

Postby Mug UK » Wed May 19, 2004 9:39 am

I collected from the post office today a rather heavy box containing approximately 76 issues from ST Applications. Won them on Ebay for the princely sum of 1 pound (1.4 Euros? $1.70?) ..

Cost me almost 9 times that for the postage due to their weight. However, would you like the scans for these or does someone else want to sort out the hosting for these mags scanned in @ 150Dpi?

Anyone with a PC / scanner in North West (UK) want to lend a hand in getting them scanned in etc?

For those not in the know, ST Applications was a coders magazine issued by the FaST club in Nottingham.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk
