No, I haven't, my thoughts went straight to CF adapter/CF card, driver and to the hardware.
After much testing I'm convinced that the bird is the reason (no PEBCAK:), since I have tried stock hard drive and all drivers.
I aslo found some sort of mod on my floppy controller which could be relevant with the problem since the floppy indication->hard disk scan sequence causes the bombs or sometimes gemdos error messages (on the second boot).
Judging by some stickers on the case my Falcon was a studio system and that can be some music software mod... but I really have no idea maybe it is a factory installed mod.
Here it is:

Nope:-))

I just install MagiC 6.10, then NVDI 5.03 (I think), and then replace MagiC 6.20 files from ASH update.
An that's it:-)

Actually, I have a problem with MagiC 6.10 installation (freez screen, several VERY strange error messages), but, I deleted all files and start again, this time no errors and everything works just fine:-)

I have tried with the very same files and works fine...
I am exploring MinT at the moment (VanillaMint package) and I am quite impressed!

AtariZoll wrote:There were some changes in IDE autoboot section remained. I fixed it, and now works with Hddriver - tried with v. 8.46 . But as I see, in case of IDE, you must use AHDI (TOS) type partitioning, because with DOS type autoboot works not - when it is set with byte-swap, and there is only sense to use DOS partitioning with byte-swap, for being accessible under Windows, DOS, Linux.
Magic.rau is UK v. Magic.raa is for America :D

MAGIC62FUA.ZIP

I've just tried getting Magic to run on my MonSTer MegaST. Flashing the ROM images from your webpage (MAGUE62.IMG, MAGIC62E.IMG) is a no-go, one crashes (which I guess it should) and the other fails with the previously mentioned "Offscreen-driver not found".

The same happens if I try to use MAGIC.RAM from the same package. However, the new package above works fine (MAGIC.RAU).

I'm assuming the same fix you did for MAGIC62FUA.ZIP could/should be done for the ROM version as well? It would be nice to be able to use the flash rom support of the MonSTer for this :)

edit: Thanks to joska I re-discovered the tool to make ROM images from RAM and it indeed works fine. Consider this to be the second test of the later package then :) http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.ph ... 02#p269594
