Ratsoft BBS Documentation

Postby FujiMan » Sun Apr 15, 2007 4:35 pm

Hi all,

I've misplaced my Ratsoft BBS binder.

Can somebody send me a PDF or actual manual to send so I can scan it?

Thanks,
FujiMan

AFAIK no-one has scanned this yet. Although I could be wrong. I know I haven't got it but hopefully a nice person on here can do it for you.

Eureka, I've found it.

Hi all,

Ok, I found it this morning. Scanning it in now as I type. I'm not going to add markup to it.

Any takers?

Upload it to http://www.replacementdocs.com when you're done. They're always hosting manuals for lots of old computers and consoles. All the manuals I scan are uploaded there.
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Still waiting for him to announce the 30+ manuals I submitted a few weeks ago.

Yea, its ok. It looks like it geared mainly toward game manuals.

I was looking for a Atari specific manual repository. Maybe something with a manual and software links.

I think you already have it on the manual folder on from the archive aviable
on this forum since you have downloaded it

http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=65934#65934

the doc was made with wordperfect but I have open/convert it using MS Office without
any problem.

Sorry to bump this up... but did you ever upload that manual (or does anyone else have a PDF of it)? I'm trying to set up the BBS again and I bought 2.0 and 2.1 back in the day. I can't manage to find either one of my binders yet. Got the old HD so the BBS is still all set up from way back when, but I've probably moved 3-4 times since then and haven't had luck yet finding it in the piles of boxes. :(

I'd be grateful for any help anyone could give me.

Greetings,

I've seen a lot of people request Ratsoft BBS Documentation. Since I don't see it here I guess I will get to work on scanning what I have. A little teaser in case anyone is still interested. It will be a bunch of work to scan it, but if people are still interested I will plug away at it as I have time.

Lovely!

I'm quite surprised that I haven't been able to find my own copy of the manual. While I stupidly enough sold my computers (and disks) I've been able to find what I can remember I had on paper.

Would be great to read through it again.

Ok I will work on it and post when its done. I still have my disks and my license file. I remember I bought my copy at some Atari event in the greater Los Angeles area, with t-shirt! :-)

At the time I only had a Falcon to run it on and I experienced some strange bug with the serial port and the software. I don't remember the exact version that I have but I can post the disks if anyone is interested.

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but it looks like the manual hasn't been posted yet. If anyone still has any interest, I've finally finished scanning it and posted it on my site.

Cheers!
