Geneva and NeoDesk 4 Released as Donationware

Postby Gribnif » Tue Feb 13, 2018 4:08 am

After much urging and assistance from tenox, I have finally completed the recompilation of Geneva, the multitasking environment, and NeoDesk 4, the desktop replacement. They can be downloaded from the official Gribnif Software site: http://www4.pair.com/gribnif/ .

I hope to make the source code available in the coming months.

Thank you all for your patience and, especially, to tenox, without whom this certainly would have taken even longer.

Thank you Dan for all your hard work, just wondering if either would ever become open source? I think that was the original petition

Thank you so much about this! Really appreciate the hard work and efforts on these projects!

I see on the downloads section that you mention a "Neodesk Icon Disk". But I cannot find a link for that. I kindly ask if there is a possibility that we can have it as well.

It's right on the title page:

Thank you Dan and tenox for making this happen. I still remember the smart asses in the FB group telling us how futile and naive this attempt is. ;) Can't wait to see the source code.

EDIT: There's a typo on the download page, it's not NeoDesk 4.08 but 4.06 (yes, I've installed it already! :)

Thank you very much for this magnificent job of Dan, and many thanks to the insistence and assistance of tenox to recover this useful and legendary software.
For things like this I am proud of the Atari community.
Now there is the challenge of translating these programs into Spanish, I will try.

Wow, such an amazing achievement, thanks Dan and Tenox. Looking forward to testing this out and seeing on some of the high spec systems... Eg CT63 and SV or Radeon graphic cards!!
Anyone got nice screenshots to share??

As one of the last few to sign the petition (a month ago) I like to think I pushed it over the edge ;)

Thank you. I assume the donation button on the website is good?? ;)
