Nice!

Even if it was sold in Europe, mainly UK I think, it has a noticeable success in Australia. Our friends from down under should appreciate it. Not sure if there is still an active community tough.

Hi, as I wrote in issues #16 I tried this core on my old CRT TV and it doesn't display correctly. The image is slanted, out of sync and monochrome.

Looking at the code it seems this is a VGA-only core, but I noticed that the file "SVGA_DEFINES.v" contains configurable parameters for the screen geometry. Perhaps we can find a set of values for 15625 khz line rate?

Is there a public beta release of this core on MiST platform? If yes, I volunteer to test...

@DrOg you can try the .rbf file from @Gehstock's repo on GitHub:

https://github.com/Gehstock/Mist_FPGA/b ... 0_MiST.rbf

I used this computer back in the '80s, here in Italy they were not sold in stores but distributed with a computer course. In other countries they were branded under different names, most notably Dick Smith VZ200/300 in Australia. There is a quite large software collection (mainly games).

The successor of Laser 310 is Laser 500 which is even more obscure and rare. I am writing an implementation of it for the MiST (still in alpha).

Hi!

Tried the current core from the above linked repository, keyboard and BASIC are OK, component video out results a nice, well-centered picture! VGA is 640x480@60Hz, which should be compatible with my picky LCD TV as well, but is isn't. Scanlines option has no effect, and no option for loading files.
