hi

at first screen the woman in the middle is not centered in chany dream 6

on second part on crtc 1, the third raster from buttom are not full in a real cpc but has 6 parts

i'm done with Amstrad core for some time. I think it's already robust and recreates the HW at 99%.
Catching the fleas in every Demo using hardware quirk is very hard job. And with every such new flea, amount of work increase 10 times at every step.
For 100% replica the HDL should be based on decaped chips to repeat every possible quirk and even bugs.

May be sometime later.

Hi Sorgelig thanks for this core. I grow up with a 6128 so love playing with this core. I hear what your staying about being finished with the CPC core for now but have you any plans to expand it to the plus range and with it the gx4000? Since a flash cart came out there have been many tape & disk convertions to cart format with controls hacked to use the keypad. http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Converted_GX4000_Software

No plans for plus expansion. Changes are very big with only few games. And there is no much technical info about plus.

Carts has no meaningful advantages over disk and tape for MiSTer. It's mostly for real HW.
Recent MiSTer update allow to map joystick inputs to keyboard per game. So, you don't need these hacks.

Thanks for the reply, the only advantage would the consitance of controls so only having to map the once and not per game. Shame it's a lot of extra work and very much only a nice to have, your efforts are better focused elsewhere :D . I actually have a gx4000 and flash cart myself and can tell you the official plus games are all a bit crap.

I didn't get any feedbacks yet. I cannot test myself since all my devices have sound regardless this tweak.

We don’t have mass storage on amstrad in his glories hours

Today we have xmass, m4 ans other

But at 80’s you need to load disk and use command like RUN or cpm

I did try getting Trantor to work (have the .dsk format) loaded the disk into the core then typed, 'RUN""' and press return but nothing loads, do all commercial games even work on this core in its current state?

Type cat to see what .bas file you need to run between the " marks

The core is very mature in my opinion. Sorg has already said that he has little intestinal in adding cart support. Lot of effort for little benfit

You have to learn at least the basics if you want to use these machines. These were full computers, if you want just a load&run style playing, then I think you should use console cores.

P.S.: run "disc is a common start method for disk games on the CPC. You can even omit the ending "

Yeah it's often run"disc. If not, it's always run"(programname) and you can find out what that is with cat. Amstrad loading is very straightforward, you'll get the hang of it in no time.

I agree the core is very complete and nice to use. My only real wish for it right now would be updating the scaler so as to be in line with the rest of the cores, currently scanlines don't look right.
