Of course it's the same. MiSTer uses the real game name, while MiST uses incorrect name.

Thanks guys. Updated the original post.

Incredible how MiST only has 7 cores not available on the MiSTer, and the only one that is really important is the AtariST one.

MiSTer has been progressing beyond my wildest dreams :)

Currently, MiST has Berzerk (Arcade) and MiSTer doesn't.

Edit:
MiST has Bagman and Crazy Kong https://github.com/Gehstock/Mist_FPGA/t ... n-Hardware
MiST has a C64 GS core. https://github.com/Gehstock/Mist_FPGA/t ... ST/release

Hi!

I cant seem to find any of them for the MiST (Berzerk, Bagman or Crazy Kong), only for MiSTer.

Do you have links to those cores?

Thanks

I just realized that you are missing the Chip8 core from.the MiST. I know it's not much of a system.... but it's famous with calculator people such as myself...:)

Hi,

Just updated the core list on the main post.

I believe we can finally say that MiSTer has surpassed the MiST.

It has been incredible the traction that MiSTer gained in the last couple of months, and the scene is now throbbing with updates and flooded with new people.

Not only the last big bastion of the MiST has just fallen (the Atari ST), but also many of the MiSTer cores keep improving at a rapid pace. Special mention to the Genesis and the PC Engine cores.

If you are now in the market for an FPGA, there's not many arguments left to choose a MiST over the MiSTer.

As always, let me know if I have missed any core... cheers

You may be misreading my intentions here...

It's not about wars, it's about helping uninformed users to take a decision.

I have both a MiST and a MiSTer... and love them equally.

Nice to know there's a game gear core on mist. It might come to mister one day.

Sorgelig's recent work on the Console cores along with SmokeMonster's heavy coverage on youtube has gotten the retro console crowd really behind this project. It's fun to see. On the console side the MiSTer has gotten some really nice unique offerings:

-Supergrafx on an FPGA
-NES core with FDS support
-Genesis core (for now)

If ever Turbografx CD or Sega CD is added, people will be breaking down the doors to get a MiSTer.

I think one of the best things though is that this introduces people who mostly only have dealt with consoles to some of the classic computers as well. What an amazing project. Thanks Sorg and to all the people from both MiST and MiSTer who have contributed work over the years for these amazing cores and ideas.

Is there any shot for cores based on the Atari 7800, Intellivision and Odyssey 2?

I'd personally like to see an Intellivision core. :D
