MiSTer rig for sale

Postby rittwage » Thu Apr 26, 2018 1:18 pm

Sorry if this is the wrong location for this.

I am in the USA and recently bought a DE10-nano kit, SDRAM memory board (XS, 1.1) and a set of IO boards (unpopulated). I found out that several of the cores I wanted to play with (Atari 800) need a second SD card that is on the IO board- that is a pain!

The IO boards look like they will need a good bit of surface mount components soldered that I don't have, and my eyesight is not that great anymore anyway, even with magnification. I also don't have the time I thought I might have to build this up.

Would anyone like to buy a complete MiSTer "kit" (without the IO board components) at my cost? I just don't have the time... :(

Why don't you get yourself an assembled I/O Board?
Setting up the 2nd sd card is done in like 5 minutes and after that it is an ease to play with the Atari 800.

I hear you on that eyesight thing. I have very legitimate issues of my own and totally understand. I also have an IO board which I probably won't assemble. That IO board is beyond my current skill level.

I've built up the analog audio circuit (based on the IO board schematic) using through-hole PCB and that was easy and cheap. I had the correct resistors and prototype board already and the caps were maybe $3.

Hooking the extra SD card up would even be simpler and would probably require no soldering at all. I have this part here which finally arrived which I was going to try...

I should probably do it sooner than later and try out the Atari 800 core before I get kicked off of the Atari forum for too much talk about the Minimig core :)

FYI, this worked (no soldering) and allowed me to run the 5200 and 800 cores....

I just hooked the pins up as labeled in the schematic. 3.3v to pin 29.

Did not connect CD pin.
