Setting up static IP

Postby vanfanel » Sat Oct 20, 2018 12:00 am

Hi,

I am trying to set up an static IP for my MiSTer's wired connection. With that objetive, I edited /etc/network/interfaces, and now this is all it has:

Code: Select all

auto lo

iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.5.10
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.5.7

However, it's still aquiring an address in the 192.168.1.x range when I connect it to the router, but I need a static IP on the 192.168.5.x range instead. I have also trying moving /etc/init.d/91dhcpcd so the dhcpcd daemon doesn't start at boot, but I am still getting a dynamic IP. Any ideas, please?

Thanks
