MiST Cores - What do you want to play today?

Postby nightshadowpt » Tue Apr 17, 2018 6:51 am

Hi,

Just thought I'd share with you my MiST core collection.

Image
You can check the full resolution version by clicking on the image.

and yes, before you say anything, I know I can have all of these on the same SD card, but I like the mechanical act of choosing a system, inserting it into the SD slot and have magic happen.

All of them are working, although I still need to work on the software selection for each.

This is why MiST is such an amazing machine... it feels great to have all the old hardware inside an SD card :)

Cheers

I mainly play with the C64 and Amiga cores, since those were the two computers I grew up with.
I keep them on the same SDCard though, because I don't want to wear out the SD card mechanism. A 32 GB card is enough for pretty much every single C64 game ever made, and most of the Amiga ones 8)

These are beautiful! I used a labeling machine to make small labels on my cards... but this so much more professional.
It is indeed super nice on the MiST to be able to switch cores by changing the SD card.

I have to admit though that recently, both on the MiST and MiSTer, I've been putting everything into one SD which is usually enough.
I do have some "collections" of machines in one card though e.g. all the Ataris together.

I agree, beautiful labels, thank you for sharing with us!

I previously had mine in different SD cards, Arcade games, 8-bit Consoles, 8 -Bit Computers and separate cards for Atari ST and Amiga.

As To what I play most is Aquarius (love AstroSmash) and Bally Astrocade, but do love Atari 800 and 5200!
