Mist and the NES30 Pro Controler (8bitdo)

Postby nightshadowpt » Mon Aug 07, 2017 5:48 pm

Hi,

Does anyone has any experience connecting a NES30 Pro Controler from 8bitdo to the Mist?

I have tried using the USB cable, but it does not seem to be recognized.

Thank you for your support.

Cheers,

Hi ! Did you try to update the gamepad firmware ? (Needs a Windows pc)

I used one but it had disconnection issues before being upgrader.

Hi,

I did not try upgrading yet, no...

After the upgrade, did you use the pad on the Mist successfully?

Thank you.

I am using the SFC30 without any issues (updated fw anyway) its just some times goes to BT mode after poweron

here is the joystick_remap of my mist.ini
(I don't remember which line is for the SFC30 , as I have another USB joypad too)

Code: Select all

joystick_remap=0583,2060,1,2,4,8,10,20,20,8,400,800,40,80
joystick_remap=1235,ab21,1,2,4,8,10,20,0,0,0,0,400,800,0,0,40,80

Hi!

Found the solution.

After the upgrade to version 4.0 of the controller I was still having connection problems.

I cycled through all the modes and it started working when I put the controller in Mac mode (Hold POWER + A).

Works like a charm now!

I greatly recommend this amazing controller if you want to enjoy your retro platformers...

Thank you all for your support.

Cheers,
