amstrad_170323_r005.8.15c12.rbf r005.8.15c12 (candidate 12) - still in progress but
Looks fine on my Sony PVM except for the screen being a little too far to the right.

Hopefully, adjustments can be made so the picture looks good for everyone.

Yeah!! It now works on my CRT TV! - well done

Just loaded up some demos. Now where is Batman Forever... :)

Is there a way to reset the computer to try different disks? Core Reset on the MiST does not work.
On my actual 6128 I have fitted a push button for reset. I hate turning the power on/off on old computers. Least the Spectrum+ added a reset button.

The "Page Up" Button on the keyboard is the Reset for Amstrad CPC Core.

Thanks for reset info.

I guess FDC = floppy disc controller. I tired single disc version of 'Batman Forever' demo and I got a message about not having the right setup. I will have to try the multidisc version.

On my actual 6128 I have a Gotek drive flashed with HxC firmware.

I confirm. The screen is well centered on my pvm and the osd is working. The osd still need some work to appear correctly in 15khz mode but it's ok, you can mount a *.dsk and run programs.
However sometimes the keyboard doesn't respond and after a while it does.

My TV this time works with this experimental core :D

In 15khz mode , CPC is working on 50hz ? In VGA I think it is more faster, but in 15khz is more real the timming, anyone know this ?

And another question is: I know it is reimplementation, so no emulation (some people doesn't understand this and say that this core is an emulator xD), but which are the limitations of doing a core based on an emulator ?
It's only curiosity ! Thanks.

It's good to see a 15KHz signal for this core, though I still can't get a stable picture on my LG LCD TV. The picture jumps around quite a lot, and occasionally "spikes" mid frame, with a few lines being pulled to the left. I also get something similar on the updated PC Engine core.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get a stable picture?

I run several other cores with no problem (Atari ST, Amiga, Spectrum, C64, Atari XL)
Atari equipment all in storage - Now playing with MiST :)

Ok for me too.

Congratulations!!!!!!

The Amstrad core works on an old CRT television and the scrolling is perfect.
Test on the SORCERY + generic and the Golden AXE KOR launcher (f1-t1).
This is a feat, to my knowledge only a true AMSTRAD can offer such a perfect scrolling. "See the countless site that deals with the subject"

A big thank-you!

Why the CPC Border is Black with Scart connection while witch VGA display the blue color is correct ?
Is it only for test ?
Anyway the PAL 15Khz output works very well in this latest release.

amstrad_170404_r005.8.14.1.rbf was released yesterday:

https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-bina ... 8.14.1.rbf

TV mode experimental : xorTV.
Another TV mode experimental : applying Gerald HSYNC/VSYNC width formula.
Just a merge with r005.8.14 and several experimental versions around TV mode (thanks a lot at Atari Forum for experimental tests)

I think that your TV it not too compatible to direct SCART connections... just because three patched TV mode cores don't work to you. Same happens with my new TV if I put my LaserDisc player or some consoles. That's why I bought an SCART-HDMI converter.

Have you also changed the mist.ini options?

The picture using the latest Core does not work on my 1990's PAL RGB CRT 14" TV. I get a display, it is shifted to the left and I cannot read the text (also on OSD), - Only the previous Core worked fine.

Does the Core developer see the results from us?

Hopefully it will be developed to work on LCD and original consumer CRT hardware. SONY PVM's are commercial professional displays, so you would expect that they can accept more types of signal.

Using the latest version on my Sony PVM the video quickly fades to black.

Yes, the new core's video is far not so perfect as the previos was...

The picture is very left-centered, and has a distortion on the top.

I also have problem with the image with the last core in 15Khz, on the last experimental core it was working fine with me (no borders, but nice centered image)

I think in 15Khz Amstrad works at 50Hz, right ? But in VGA is very fast, would be VGA mode sincronized ?

I own 2 Amstrad CPC (464 e 464+) and they work at 15Khz /50Hz on my TV via Scart RGB, as other common 8bit computers (C64, MSX, Spectrum).

Is there anyway we can get 6128 plus features added? And perhaps gx4400 features? But I think that is the same to be fair.
