MIST New USB-Lan Adapter

Postby mgreima » Thu Oct 02, 2014 8:24 am

I had a cheap NoName USB-Lan Adapter for my Wii with the right chipset:

[ 1672.704571] usb 3-10: new high-speed USB device number 8 using xhci_hcd
[ 1672.734256] usb 3-10: New USB device found, idVendor=0b95, idProduct=7720
[ 1672.734259] usb 3-10: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 1672.734261] usb 3-10: Product: AX88x72A
[ 1672.734262] usb 3-10: Manufacturer: ASIX Elec. Corp.

So i made a Firmware with the added IDs:

// DLink DUB-E100 H/W Ver B1 Alternate
{ 0x2001, 0x3c05, ASIX_TYPE_AX88772 },
// NoName Wii Adapter
{ 0x0b95, 0x7720, ASIX_TYPE_AX88772 },

Now Im testing it, so far ping and telnet in my Lan works.

Sounds great. I also got another type of dlink dongles and will update the asix driver in the mist asap and include your patch as well.

The latest firmware includes the patch for the Wii adapter as well as support for the DLink-DUB-E100 Rev C1 one of you guys donated.

I think the Apple USB Adapter use the same Asix Chip. Can be added to the firmware?
// Apple USB Adapter A1277
{ 0x05ac, 0x1402, ASIX_TYPE_AX88772 },

I have problems to setup the Ethernet and I have not been lucky compiling the firmware to test myself.
