Gehstock, again, no posts about this in the most active community of MiST: The Facebook group. I'll post it there.

Well, three, four, five... People helping you with a core of a unpopular machine, Vectrex is not Mega Drive, but well, always you find our help here. Quantity is not relevant. A core that now we are enjoying. Thanks very much for your work.

DrOG wrote:Perhaps it's because the Vectrex was not so popular and marketed only in small quantity (no one knows exactly, but certainly under 500000 pieces were sold, see details here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/59575-vectrex-numbers/ ).

Only a few people owned this console, and have nostalgic memories about it.

It's rather a unique piece of hardware with it's vector graphic, and a curiosity instead of being a true mass product.

Your work is highly appreciated, and it's value cannot be measured with the numbers of replies! It's about preserveration of a small piece of the gamer history, and valuable for the future generations.

That's the point :)

There are so called vecvoice and vecvox hardware add-ons to be plug in controler port2. Vecvoice (sp0256-al2) is used by verzerk, yasi and some others games. Vecvox (speakjet) is used by xmasvox and some other games. Vecvox is also add-on for atari console/computers. More information on supported games can be found on atariage forum for both vectrex and atari.

I've seen mismatches. Will look to that but not at the moment. Maybe after summer.

Well, I've tested again last version. Core is OK, games are OK, but using pad or joystick no button works. Just only the control, so I must play or using pad and controls with keyboard or keyboard only. I've tested three different pads.

Vectrex VHDL source code updated to rev 0.2 available at :

https://sourceforge.net/projects/darfpga/files/Software%20VHDL/vectrex/

Synchronise ramp vs blank signals.
Better text position. Clean sweep maze much better, not yet perfect but very playable now.
Every games should get benefit.

Just tested it. It works well :D , although (few) sometimes I need to do a reset if I want to play the game or display it correctly.

Thanks!

It works well on my BenQ, the info shows video out is 640x500@57Hz. My picky TV says 'no signal'...

wow, thanks. I tried it briefly. I lend my USB controller to nephew so I cannot test it properly today. But it loads rom of Gravitrex, Verzerk and Thrust which did not work before. The welcome screen of Thrust is OK, but there is some glitch in intro. It seems there is some trouble in clipping when big scroll is on the screen. But in game demo it looks really good.
