Steem Engine 3.2 & Monitor settings problem

Postby Amalgam » Tue Sep 26, 2017 8:33 pm

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on this forum. I hope I'm getting to learn more about using Steem in conjunction with a deep edit application for my old synth from the 80s, a Yamaha TS200.
The programme I'm using within Steem is called YSEDT2_8.PRG (YS Editor 2).

I have installed Steem 3.2 on a brand new ASUS Notebook PC with Windows 10, and it seems I could get everything running up 'til a certain point, until I get notified (within Steem) about proper monitor settings. I have to adjust the resolution, but I also have to set the monitor in b/w in order to run the application for the Yamaha edit programme.
I have absolutely no idea how to change those monitor settings to b/w.
For instance, within Steem there's a wrench symbol for Options, and when I go there and check the Monitor settings (in Machine settings), I only get the options "Colour (Low/Med Resolution)", "Monochrome (High Resolution)" and various sizes for "Extended Monitor". There is no option for "B/W". Apart from Machine Settings I can also look into Display Settings, but all I can do is change the window size or height. Again, no "B/W".
What am I to do about this? Who has also experienced this before?

B/W = black & white = monochrome. ;)
After selecting you need to reset (button on same option page).

Yes, I also expected "Monochrome" should be the option to choose. However, I missed the step of clicking on "Cold Reset" and restart Steem. I didn't read that as "confirm" but rather as "put everything back to basic settings", so I thought I shouldn't click on that.
It now seems to work fine!
