Midiman midisport 2x2

Postby Rustynutt » Sun Jun 02, 2019 11:55 pm

Searching at the Goodwill for a tape desk to record my late Pop's recordings of when they played at night clubs, bars, Moose Lodge, American Legion and such.

Came across this little MIDI/USB box in original packing, disk, docs and cable. Couldnt just leave it there for $5.00.
This of interest?

The MacMan and miniMacman models have drivers for Cubase Atari, but I do not know that model "Sport". If he does not have the LAN port I think it will be incompatible with Atari.

Thanks, it has a USB connector.
Is the CUBASE option something Steinberg released, or did a LAN driver come with the unit?
I have USB of a few types available on the Falcon, have no clue if anything could access the devices much further than stick storage or a USB mouse.

BTW, also dug this out.

.

Driver comes for Mini Macman with MROS that comes Cubase Audio Falcon.
Midisport 2x2 not work with Atari or actually works if you put USB side to PC or Mac and MIDI-ports to Atari :D

I suppose it could be somewhat useful if it has some kind of stand alone merge mode that sends one MIDI input to the two MIDI outputs but other than that it would be more useful functioning as a MIDI interface on a modern USB equipped computer.
