I was just wondering what this beast might be for, asked youtube and found some videos about Hotz devices. I'm really impressed now!
On the other side of the screen, it all looks so easy.

The day that the time machine is invented I will go to visit that convention and I will stay there, they were good times.

I was also impressed a long time ago and finally I was able to get an instrument, it has not been easy.

Awesome. Did you end up with any documentation or disks from Atari?

I'm on that subject, PC software and its documentation is easy to come by; the documentation for Atari is more difficult, but not impossible.

Thank you, dear mate, but there is a complete manual for the Atari-Hotz software that I am looking for. I think I'm in the right direction, but I can not confirm anything until about a week.

I found some Atari software searching the net a while back. I can't say if it works or if it's complete. Search for 'hotz' at devdocs.

Yes, the software was released free to the orphaned community of Atari years ago, but the manual existed in paper format and also in Calamus format: that is the challenge.

Atarieterno, would you like to share some more details about your catch? Where did you find your Hotzbox? Are there possibly more Hotzboxes for sale? Did you have trouble to import your Hotzbox to Spain (assuming you probably got it in the US)?

Hello, dear mate;
The HOTZ instruments are still sold by their creator Jimmy Hotz:
http://www.hotzstore.com/

Although it only indicates the price for the software ($ 199), if you ask him by email he will inform you of the prices for the devices that can range between $ 2,000 for the "small" unit

Small Hotz Controller.png

and $ 10,000 for the "large" unit.

Large Hotz Controller.jpg

They are manufactured by the old school and the materials are thick steel and wood, can weigh more than 25 Kg and shipping costs from the USA are not cheap. By air transport, it only takes a couple of days to arrive in Spain, but in fact import procedures begin when you arrive at the Spanish customs: wait for the customs "process" the package and send a file number to the importer, this may take from one week to three; With the import number you access a website where they inform you of the required documentation and which must be attached digitized (invoice, declaration document, identity document, etc.). The customs receives the documentation and analyzes it, if it considers it acceptable, they send the importer an invoice with all the importation expenses (21% VAT taxes, plus import tax on electronic products, plus storage expenses, plus document management expenses) . If you are satisfied with the requested amount, you must enter the money in their bank account and send proof of payment. Wait while customs check that the payment is made and if everything is correct they will "release" the package that will continue on its way from Madrid (Barajas airport) to Seville.
Finally he came home.

Now I understand why your Hotzbox looks brand new... Because it is brand new. You deserve my respect for investing so much time and money!
