Genwave is a sample editor that combined the previous versions, Genwave12 and Genwave16 offering editing capability by way of drivers for both 12-bit and 16-bit samplers, as well as MIDI SDS. This works with the S900, not sure about S950, but with SDS, I imagine at least sample dump.

How does that joystick dongle work Charles? I ask because I have been messing around trying to build a K..AT controller for Cubase and I think FreindChip might have done something like that.

it seems to only carry the signals through ,.,
where the Cubase dongle has a chip in it and retains some data

So I suggest Google. What I will say is, does the S612 use SDS (Sample Dump Standard), if so it can be used with any Sample Editor which conforms to SDS for sample dumping and editing. If not, as I imagine it is pre SDS, then your choices will be more limited and the software will need a specific driver for your sampler. The same premises for any sampler.

I remember seeing a Sample Editor in particular for the S612 when I was doing research on Samplers and Sample Editors for the Atari Forum Wiki, under Sound Samplers. I created a list of Samplers and Sample Editors. Quite a bit of effort went into that page, not much use now as the Wiki is down. I am going to try and get that information off and compile it elsewhere.

OK, I have gone through my web links and found what I was looking for, head on over to here: http://www.plontke.de/, the developer
of the software Harald Plonkte's website in German. I have never used this as I do not own a S612, but test it out.
