Prophecy the viking Child

Postby dlfrsilver » Tue Nov 24, 2015 1:25 pm

Hello guys, i have bought again Prophecy the Viking Child for Atari ST, one of the best wonderboy clone, and a very underrated game for ST :)

i'll do the CTR files as soon as i get it, as well as the IPF files for preservation.

Viking Child is a great game and has awesome music by Barry Leitch :)
The time limit is a bit too tight though, there is not enough time to really explore the levels. But at least it has a password system wich let you start at levels you reached.

the levels are not that huge and complex in fact. oh i'm sure there must be some hidden things, but i've discovered none of them, even when i was 12-13 years old, at 38, i'm still at the same point :)

One of my preferate game. To be honest, i own it still on IBM PC, Amiga, and soon again, Atari ST :)

Ok, i got today the game..... and it's perfectly unmodified, the copy i got was almost pristine :) So i did quick CTR files as well as an IPF of it.

Imagitec had originally planned this as a trilogy of games i believe?

Lynx version was very nice as well, kind of filled the 'Wonderboy' gap.

Ok guys, a little info bit for atarimania, the copy i got is the same i made the actual STX version present on Atarimania.

It's Rev 0 / 12/04/90 (the whole code is reverted in ram lol!)

and the codes :

DENIS
THE BLIZ
SHARKMAN
NYMHARSW

It's the alternate version, we need to find the original one, using IMAGITEC as first code.
