Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Postby DrCoolZic » Sat Jul 04, 2015 3:58 pm

I am not aware of any repository for Kryoflux stream images and/or combination of KF/SCP images

Therefore I have created a new account with Mega https://mega.nz and I have created a shared repository for "stream images" (Kryoflux and SCP)
To access this repository follow this link https://mega.nz/#F!9RJixYhI!ozJAY06nUpYj2vzpuWORRg
Now you should see the currently uploaded images
Of course you can still use the Retrobackup repository at ftp://retrobackup.com for SCP only images

Not mandatory but would be nice if you use a file organization similar to this one (feedback welcome)

Code: Select all

Game Name
Game Name D1.jpg -- image of FD
   Game Name D2.jpg
   GND1.STX -- known pasti file
   GND2.STX
   Description.txt
   Users manual.pdf
   ...
   KF
      Game Name D1
         xxxx00.0.raw
         …
         Xxxx83.1.raw
      Game Name D2
         xxxx00.0.raw
         …
         Xxxx83.1.raw
      Game Name D1.ctr
      Game Name D2.ctr
Game Name D1.stx -- conversion of raw file with  for example Aufit
Game Name D2.stx -- conversion of raw file with  for example Aufit
   SCP
      Game Name D1.scp
      Game Name D2.scp
Game Name D1.stx -- conversion of raw file with  for example Aufit
Game Name D2.stx -- conversion of raw file with  for example Aufit

and compression is a must. I recommend to use the free 7 zip (best compression)
Name for archive can look like this: "Game Name (IMG_TYPE).7z" where image type if KF or SCP or KF-SCP + multi if multi source
For example: Aventures de Moktar(KF-SCP multi).7z

The https://mega.nz/#F!9RJixYhI!ozJAY06nUpYj2vzpuWORRg link gives you a read only access.
I would be nice that you also upload images!
For that matter I need to add you on a read/write sharing list (see https://mega.nz/#help/sharing)
This requires that you have a Mega account with a given e-mail address. Provides me this address by PM and I will add you on the read/write sharing list (PM me also if you want to help).

Let me know what you think :)

Note: wherever you upload please provide images with 5 revolutions
As already explained this is required for preservation. The upcoming version of Aufit will provide a deep analysis, automatic correction, and IPF writing features only on multiple revolution images

Here is the process to be able to upload.

1) create a free account on Mega.nz using an e-mail address (you can create a new one if you want)
2) Once you have created the account provided me by PM this address.
3) I will add you on the list of read/write for the "Streem Image" directory
4) You will receive an invitation from user Atari-Forum, accept it
mega-invitation.PNG

5) log to your Mega Account and go to the shared with me tab. Now you should see the Stream Image directory and you will have read/write capability
6) upload to this directory

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

just a quick go : Cabal is the hit squad version, and it's modified on a lot of tracks. ESWAT has a good disk one, but disk 2 has modified or faulty tracks (need check and maybe cleaning).

Elvira is perfect. Explora 3 is not the retail version, but the version sold in a ubisoft compilation. And the disk 3 has the track 48.1 in error (needs cleaning of the disk).
