It seems that the FTP was open to anyone to change, delete files, etc. So, some moron kept deleting the files. I guess "hacked" is the right wording... maybe abused would be a better term.

Disk B dump of Bionic Commando is badly damaged and you should try cleaning it:

Disk A dump also is bad:

Alien Syndrome

Thanks!

Alien Syndrome works fine in STEEM with STF 1Mb TOS1.02. It uses F1-F10 to start the game and change settings.

Aw sucks. I'll try to clean them.

EDIT: cleaned them both and neither is good...looks like just bad disks.

So the FTP is definitely closed? Or it's just me that can't access it any longer?

Wrote the scp of Magic Pockets to disk and played through the first level.

Second level was garbled and I couldn't proceed. Has anyone verified that the image is good past level 1?

*Edit* False alarm sorry. Found another image and wrote to different disc and now level 2 is ok.

Hi 8) ,

Sadly, I don't think all images from the FTP were checked :shrug: ...

If I understand you tested Magic Pockets dump by "GreatGuy" from the FTP & it was bad : can you tell me where did you find another image of it ? :cheers:

It could have been a bad disk I think. The image that is working is by GreatGuy.

Did you upload that one to the FTP? If so, you can just link to it.

Hi,

I am the guy left message in the ftp for you.
Boulder Dash's copy protection has a sector across the index signal. This means that the SCP file must be dumped in "non-blind" mode.
Look at the SCP manual, page 25, in particular the "Copy Mode" options. You are supposed to use the "Splice" copy mode.
Please change "Copy Mode" to "indexsplice" and redump Boulder Dash and Paperboy again.
Thank you very much.

* Prehistorik (copy Protected)

Hi,
I checked some games you uploaded.
Please redump following title(s):
* Angel nieto Pole 500 (Booter 3.5")
* Joe and Mac Caveman Ninja Euro Release (disk copy protected + Manual passwords)
Please change "Copy Mode" to "indexsplice" and set correct "Disk Types"
Thank you very much.
BTW, the game "Dr Doom's Revenge US release by medalist" seems a pre-cracked copy.

Mostly out of curiosity, I don't have much experience writing back PC games with the SCP. But why you require those disks to be dumped in splice mode? In my experience, it is better to dump multiple revolutions blindly. Then by software you can perfectly read sectors that cross the index. Later, when you want to write back, you can change to Splice mode if you want anyway, can't you?
