We will likely not do another production run of the SV, but Willy, who makes the CT60e, has expressed interest in producing the SV. We haven't heard from him in a while though.

Yeah, it´s been quiet from good old Willy for some time indeed. I reckon he has his hands full with the CT60e prototype, so the likelyness of any SVs coming through the pipe in the near future is probably pretty slim. ;-) (Don´t let any flaming deter you, Willy: You´re a hero in my book! :)

Maybe L0tharek has a window open for SV manufacturing? He´s done amazing stuff in the past!

Hell yeah! Still wish I could get an updated TOS in the Falcon to support the TT resolutions and a few other things.

TT rez on a Falcon ??
Falcon does better than a TT rez without any hardware mod - 800x600x256C
That TT hi-rez needs a special monitor.

Have you ever had your Falcon on a VGA monitor?

That is all I have ever used my falcon. But regardless of just the TT resolution support, there are some other nice things they added to the beta TOS, like color icons in the dialog boxes.

But colored icons have nothing to do with the resolution. It's just ... a color of an icon.

That's the program putting colour on icons... in a dialog box. Not only the falcon or the TT but both with a more colours video mode can do that as well.
For the TT, you will need extra video hardware if you want high rez and high colour.
For falcon, you can get away with stock falcon on 800x600 in 256 colours.

JFL programs looks great with colourful icons in menus and dialog boxes.

I actually considered adding the TT video XBIOS to the SuperVidel drivers at one point, but judging by some notes in my sources, I decided to scrap that mainly for the following reason:
- 1. The very few applications that would use these calls could potentially misinterpret the availability of these calls and wrongfully decide that they're running on a TT.
- 2. The TOS4 XBIOS surpasses the TT video XBIOS and it would actually make a lot more sense to add those calls to the TT-TOS than the other way around.
- 3. The VIDEL and TTSHIFTER aren't similar at all, so even though one can set an equivalent screen resolution, there will be problems. Historically, the Atari way of coding isn't to either chose to use the XBIOS, or to use the hardware directly. It's often a mix of the two.

If this is about adding buttons for "TT HIGH | TT MED | TT LOW" in the desktop, it would be trivial to add this to the SuperVidel video dialog. The result wouldn't be "TT HIGH | TT MED | TT LOW" in practice, however.
