sink: Wow. what a compliment! I am glad you've appriciated the stuff we enjoyed making.
Well. I've just discovered the pouet site thing and DHS, so I do try to check out demos every now and then. It's great to see to brilliant stuff that still are made. I haven't seen many PC demos though. I am not quite sure where to look, to be honest. :)

Illegal: Hey! A replicant. Excellent. Good to hear that cuddly found a place in your heart. The replicants should have a place in the hearts of all old Atari users, considering the great things you did for us gamers. :) Thanks for welcoming me here. Good to see you... :D
my god... it's full of pixels.

Wow a real TCB member. If you are feeling nostalgic head over to the Thalion Webshrine which I run.

Nick and Jas still work for Jas's dad at Thermometric?

The Java over on the TCB website has been "broken" for a while now, but the Thalion Webshrine hosts a working version of "their" last release FragIsland, a Java Quake client.

http://thalion.atari.org/Fragisland/fraggame.htm

The server has long since stopped running but you can still romp around. Shame they never released the source for the client or the server, even today 9 years on it's still one of the best Java applets ever winning awards year after year.

Wish you all the best, you coming to the next STNICCC?

You can catch up with other Ex-Thalion members over at the Thalion Webshrine Yahoo Group

Tanis wrote:Hi guys.

Illegal: An Cool is back in Sweden. I haven't talked to him since he returned, but I've heard he's doing good. The last thing I heard is that he is still working for the same company that had an office in the U.S... but that might not be true.

It's a small, small world... A few weeks ago it turned out that one of the guys I see at work every day (he is working for a different company) knew AN Cool very well. They had apparently been working on the same company for quite some time and it seemed AN was very loyal to Atari ST and advocating the use of it for all sorts of things at their former employer. :) So - newsflash - among other things it seems AN now is into marketing and has 3 kids.

Tanis: Kudos!!

IllegalException: Indeed it's a small, small world. At the friday beer, at work, a guy spotted my Atari TShirt and told me he's done some stuffs on ST a while ago. ... It turned out that was Wizzcat/Delta Force 8O

p01,

Kewl! He used to be on the IRC a lot around 90-94. If my memory is not failing me - for once - that is how he got in contact with Daniel of Vector (later Delta Force) and Steffen...hmm...can't remember his handle (New Mode?) of Delta Force. Daniel, at the time, studied in my home-town so we hang out every now and then. Having a trip of nostalgia here. :) By the way, the last time I heard from Daniel it took some 5 minutes to convince me that he was not abusing the CCITT5/R2-system. It turned out he was in former Yugoslavia with the UN peace corps and was responsible for some communication central, hence the special sounds when we initiated the conversation. ;)

Cheers!
