I used Download Druid and it failed twice, but let me resume.

If you get stuck, I can always burn to a CDR and post it you :)

How does someone get their details changed on this page as it's pointing to a very old website address which no longer exists :(

Is it Lotek who looks after this page?

Mug, download worked now, thx.
Don't know, who maintains the site, but 2 Torment-members are listed and their sites are still alive and updated.

Funnily enough Gordon seems to be missing from all of the video..

I also remember the scouser with black mullet's name now. Neil, I think he masqueraded as some sort of "Scene" person.

Definitely not!!!

I met that Neil of CB once, seem to remember him being very quiet. Showed bits of a game he was writing that I guess never saw the light of day (sync scrolled vertical shooter).

Someone asked if I was going to add the dates with pictures...um...that is a rather too muchwork so I am kindof hesitant to say "yes". Um...so, "no" ;-)

However, I originally asked this to make sure these dates end up in the "Atari Related Dates and Events" on the stniccc.com site. I have extracted the dates people have supplied in this thread and will work them into the stniccc.com site some day soon. If people have URLs to official party sites with pictures and all that, I'd be happy to add a link to the appropriate party name/year.

Hi all !! happy to find this forum with the "tgbistp" search with google. just one result.
I was searching the demo of these coding party... never saw it... and ever not found :( but find the videos !! it's cool to watch it 14 years later.
This party was my first lan !!
Do you remember the 3DPacman with 8 linked ataris ?
I made some graphics for a Delta Force member this day but never see the screen too.
I was there with the name of judge dredd / TSB do you know ToxicMag ?(can see me 2 seconds on the video). and i confirm that It was in 1992 ! My hair was too short to be in 1993.
And finally is someone know where i could find the TGBISTP Demo ?
Thanks :)

Greetings to : all oldschool guys !! ;)

i saw your list !

For the Megafun 3, was taking place in Mouvaux (without e ;) ) and by TSB/NLC not replicants ! i was one of the organiser with Docno(TSB/Fuzion), Grey (TSB), Cts (NLC) and Thyrex (NLC)

I will try to find some infos about the megafun 1 & 2
for the 4 & 5 i have no info

back again !

Megafun 1 >> couldn't remember.. perhaps Docno could.. But not in contact at all with him since many years...
Megafun 2 was during May 1992 in Mouvaux too and was organised by TSB.
After the Megafun 3 there was a 4th (by NLC) then the name changed to Gigafun (by NLC and after some others crew)... but in this part of history i was so ... far !!

some dates

Postby illegal » Tue Feb 28, 2006 5:14 pm

For coding / copy parties : those i remember as unique for me

The replicants copy party at douai, north of france, which held in 89; there was tex and the replicants... a memorable moment!

The FAFA 89 : party just in front of the french police station

Transbeauce coding paty

The snork coding party

However i'm unable to remember precisely the dates... !

I think some demo releases are important dates (i exclude those who are important for me but i cannot promote to be honest such as equinox intros... that are important dates for me)

- the release of the first demo of tex (with the dragon...)
- the release of the first sound demo of tex (with the C64...)
- the release of the amiga demo of tex
- the release of the STCS intro with big srollers
- the release of the union demo
- the release of the happy new year by tcb
- the release of the cuddly demos
...

(that's what is going in my mind naturally)

But also some other special releases
- the release of wings of death from thalion
- the release of the first rob northen (game predator... copylock 1)
- the release of the first rob northern copylock 2
- the release of "purple saturn day..."
...

Why not talking about cracking crews ? the birth of the STCS and so on...
