New Year Demo, Outrun Music demo....

Hi all, I made this little new year music demo.

because I always loved the music from outrun and I always felt that we Atari ST guys were cheated on. Firstly, there was a track missing.

Secondly, it kept shifting between the two other tune every time one would die.

Lastly, I do not think that David Whittaker did his best. The music files are YMT format running at 300hz and the reason the program file is so big. In the new year I will make a new sound format, still as fast, but be taking less space but you will need a 2mb Atari to run this. Thanks to everyone for listening and I hope you like this? Sounds great. It's very unfortunate that even your great rendition couldn't have saved the flop that is ST outrun, still it would have made it far more enjoyable!

Congrats on the pretty faithful "Magical Sound Shower" solo translation, and the long versions of all tunes.

(little bug it seems on TOS 2.06 - tune 2 : "Passing Breeze" cannot be selected, pressing "2" selects "Splash Wave" on TOS 2.06, like key "3")

christos: yes outrun was a bad arcade version, but i think that most arcade version was bad at that time. i hope that one day someone is remaking outrun on the ST, but i don't think, that it is going to be me, i am not good enough to make that game.

Dma: many thx, the 'MSS' solo was killing me, it was the first tune i started on and the last one to be finish.
all 3 tune had triplets in them and my music program don't have them, but the hole 'MSS' solo was filled with them.
In the end, it was not as good, as i hope it would have been, but it was the best that i could
so i am glad that a person like you that is use to do music, notice it

there was one on facebook that also notice the error using tos 2.06, but i don't get it, did you test it using real hardware or emulator. i was in a hurry so i am reading directly on the keyboard port, and that should be the same, or am i lost here

I have just uploaded full length videos of the 3 main song
A little info dashboard picture original had 53 color in it. logo original had 62 color in it.
so they where pretty hard to get down to 16 color
