Re: GEMDOS Drive steals letter to IDE

Yes, now I have seen the explanation in the help file... but I meant that it was curious that with the very same setup, and Peter Pera's driver, the Gemdos stayed quietely on letter E... from what I read that was unexpected

Re: GEMDOS Drive steals letter to IDE

Your driver is great, I agree... but actually it kept for itself the letter C, and Gemdos was forced to use to first available after C and D.. so it was perfect because it was not polite! :)

Re: GEMDOS Drive steals letter to IDE

Thanks, Thorsten! I have done as you suggest and everything works now... I only wonder why, with the very same scheme as before, but using Peter Pera hard disk driver instead of HDDRIVER the drives were already correct... Only when I switched to HDDRIVER I had to put a folder "E" in Gemdos...

GEMDOS Drive steals letter to IDE

Hello guys, I have a problem with my configuration... I want to use an emulated IDE drive with two partions. They should be installed as disk C and disk D. After that I would like to see my GEMDOS drive (to move things from my Windows) as letter E. When Hateri starts, everything seems ok, I see the ...

Re: Freedom, the file selector

Thank you very much.
I have read an article on an old ST Review about it and I wanted to try it. From what I know 2.05 should be the last version.
Thank you again

Re: Falcon ST-RAM 14MB boards

Just arrived! It wasn't that easy to make it fit all the way down, (made some resistance and I was worried not to break anything by pushing too much), but in the end I succeeded in sliding it in. Everything worked immediately! Excellent work! Thank you very much :)

Some people did... Especially since NeoDesk and Geneva are considered among the best software for Atari. He is quoted to have promised a release of the source code, if and wehn he'll be able to recover the original files from some crashed ageing machines :)

As far as I know, Gribnif went out of business long time ago, and Dan Wilga, one of the best Atari developers, left the field uncovered.

RSC files translator

Hi guyz, given that many interesting programs were made in Germany, I have sometimes struggled with menus and textboxes and so on. Translating their resource files was not really simple, and sometimes very frustrating. That is why I have written a program to load a RSC file, examine all of the strin...

Re: Writing RSC files in C

OK, if any of you is curious, I have made a test program. It is just a proof of concept, not a full fledged app... but it works. You can load a RSC file, go through all the strings and change (translate) the ones you want. When you're done you can save back to disk the new RSC file and use it... Now...
